Hiring Process and Application Requirements

Please complete this application if you are interested in any positions for the 2024-25 academic year:

  • Candidates may apply for than one (1) position if they choose
  • Turn in candidate application
  • Selected students will be contacted to participate in an individual interview, which may take place anytime after your application is received

Applications must include:

  • Completing all required questions by deadline
  • Submitting one (1) letter of recommendation from a GHC faculty or staff member

OR

  • Collecting 15 current student signatures (page attached on last page of form)

All Executive Board Members must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and be enrolled in a minimum of 10 credits during each term. Executive Board Members are expected to attend all organizational meetings, to work a minimum of 12 hours per week during each academic quarter, and to attend the mandatory staff trainings in the three weeks leading up to fall quarter.

Executive Board – Job Descriptions

General responsibilities of Executive Officers:

  • Promote the goals and objectives of the Executive Board
  • Serve as conduits of information and expression of concerns or problems between the college administration, the Executive Board, and students
  • Attend all Executive Board meeting as a voting member, with the exception of the President, who only votes in the event of a tie
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Life
  • Attend mandatory training and leadership development sessions/classes assigned by the Director of Student Life
  • Serve, when appointed, on applicable standing, AD HOC, and College-wide committees as assigned
  • Complete a year-end report
  • Adhere to all State laws and College policies, procedures, and departmental guidelines
  • Be willing to work with the institution’s internal procedures to voice concerns and resolve conflicts, should one arise
  • Communicate well through spoken, written, and electronic means of communication
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the procedures for facilities use, custodial, stage set-up requests, and campus security requirements for all club events
  • Assist all student government programs and activities, unless otherwise approved by the Director of Student Life
  • Participate in a quarterly job evaluation process
  • Attend and represent the Executive Board at College events as assigned
  • Strive to achieve leadership skills in team building, conflict management, and delegation of duties
  • Post and maintain regular office hours
  • Maintain records, reports, and documents of business on file
  • Serve on one (1) tenure review committee
